ARP Report and Disclosure (HEERF III) – updated April 4, 2022
The University of Texas at Dallas acknowledges that it has signed and returned to the U.S. Department of Education the Certification and Agreement and the assurance that it will use the applicable amount of Higher Education Emergency Relief Funds III (HEERF III) designated under the American Rescue Plan (ARP) to provide Emergency Financial Aid Grants to Students.
- The amount received from the Department pursuant to UT Dallas’ Certification and Agreement for Emergency Financial Aid Grants to Students under ARP was $27,123,287.
- The total amount of Emergency Financial Aid Grants distributed to students under ARP as of March 18, 2022 was $27,123,287.00.
- The estimated total number of students at UT Dallas eligible to receive Emergency Financial Aid Grants to Students under ARP is 28,212.
- The total number of UT Dallas students funded an Emergency Financial Aid Grant under ARP Act as of March 18, 2022 was 17,600.
- The method(s) used to determine which students would receive Emergency Financial Aid Grants under ARP was the following:
- Eligible students could apply once for ARP emergency aid during the fall 2021 and again for spring 2022 semester. First priority was given to enrolled undergraduate students with the lowest Expected Family Contribution (EFC) as determined by the results of the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) or its equivalent through the Texas Application for State Financial Aid (TASFA). Funding amounts were graduated based on EFC or its equivalent. Due to funding levels and usage for fall semester, spring funding levels were modified in an effort to support similar student numbers.

CRRSA Act Report and Disclosure (HEERF II)– updated August 6, 2021
The University of Texas at Dallas acknowledges that it signed and returned to the Department of Education a Certification and Agreement for Emergency Financial Aid Grants to Students under the Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security (CARES) Act. The university gives assurance that the institution will use $9,566,094 of Coronavirus Response and Relief Supplemental Appropriations (CRRSA) Act funds to provide Emergency Financial Aid Grants to students.
- The amount received from the Department pursuant to UT Dallas’ Certification and Agreement for Emergency Financial Aid Grants to Students under the CRRSA Act was $9,566,094.
- The total amount of Emergency Financial Aid Grants distributed to students under the CRRSA Act as of August 6, 2021 was $9,566,094.
- The estimated total number of students at UT Dallas eligible to receive Emergency Financial Aid Grants to Students under the CRRSA Act programs is 22,217.
- The total number of UT Dallas students awarded an Emergency Financial Aid Grant under CRRSA Act as of June 11, 2021 was 6,246
- The method(s) used to determine which students will receive Emergency Financial Aid Grants under CRRSA Act was the following:
- Eligible students could apply once for CRRSA Act emergency aid during the spring 2021 semester. First priority was to enrolled students with the lowest Expected Family Contribution (EFC) as determined by the results of the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). CRRSA Act emergency aid grants awarded in spring 2021 ranged from $50 to $1,800. The last day to submit a spring 2021 CRRSA Act emergency aid application was May 23, 2021. The second priority consideration was given to students with the lowest EFC as determined by the results of the FAFSA who had a spring 2021 application and were enrolled in summer 2021. Summer awards ranged from $50 to $420.

CARES Act Report and Disclosure (HEERF I) – updated January 7, 2021
The University of Texas at Dallas acknowledges that it signed and returned to the Department of Education a Certification and Agreement for Emergency Financial Aid Grants to Students under the Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security (CARES) Act and gives assurance that the institution will use 50 percent of the funds received under Section 18004(a)(1) of the CARES Act to provide Emergency Financial Aid Grants to students.
- The total amount of funds that the University of Texas at Dallas received from the Department pursuant to UT Dallas’ Certification and Agreement for Emergency Financial Aid Grants to Students was $9,566,094.
- The total amount of Emergency Financial Aid Grants awarded to students under Section 18004(a)(1) of the CARES Act as of October 19, 2020 was $9,566,094.
- The estimated total number of students at UT Dallas eligible to participate in programs under Section 484 in Title IV of the Higher Education Act of 1965 and, thus, potentially eligible to apply for Emergency Financial Aid Grants under Section 18004(a)(1) of the CARES Act is 20,429.
- The total number of UT Dallas students awarded an Emergency Financial Aid Grant under Section 18004(a)(1) of the CARES Act as of October 19, 2020 was 5,573.
- The method(s) used to determine which students will receive Emergency Financial Aid Grants under Section 18004(a)(1) of the CARES Act was the following:
- Eligible students could apply once per applicable term. First priority in initial awarding was to spring 2020 applicants with a spring 2020 impact. Second priority consideration was given to summer 2020 applicants with the lowest Expected Family Contribution (EFC) as determined by the results of the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). Third priority consideration was given to fall 2020 applicants with the lowest EFC as determined by the results of the FAFSA. Awards have ranged from $20 to $2,000 per term. The deadline to apply for spring or summer 2020 CARES Act emergency aid was August 28, 2020. The deadline to apply for fall 2020 CARES Act emergency aid was September 11, 2020 by 5 pm CT. Fall 2020 is the final term for CARES Act emergency aid awards.
