CSI Ten Year Anniversary

Join us on Thursday, October 30th for our 10th Anniversary

PARKING PERMIT

The celebration begins with a Distinguished Lecture by leading cyber security researcher, Dr. Elisa Bertino, Research Director of CERIAS and Professor of Computer Science at Purdue University at 2pm in the TI Auditorium.

We will continue with a CSI Open House beginning at 3:30pm in the Edith O'Donnell Auditorium (ATEC) lobby featuring hands-on demonstrations and poster presentations from the Cyber Security team of professors and students.

Information regarding cyber security scholarships as well as education outreach will also be available. At 6:30 pm, hear opening remarks from ECS faculty.

Then Mr. Patrick Sammons, creator and executive producer will give an introduction to his award-winning docu-drama, Codebreaker. The film tells the remarkable and tragic story of one of the 20th century's most important people. Alan Turing set in motion the computer age and his Word War II codebreaking helped turn the tide of the Second World War.

These celebrations are part of Texas Security Awareness Week (TexSAW) which also includes a cyber security competition for students from all over Texas on October 31st and November 1st. The Texas Security Awareness Week is sponsored in part by State Farm and the UT Dallas Computer Science Department.

We hope that you can join us for our ten year celebration.
