About NS&M Research and Interdisciplinary Programs

Welcome to our research website! As the first Associate Dean of Research and Interdisciplinary Programs my goal is to provide research-related services to the School of Natural Sciences and Mathematics faculty and to promote interdisciplinary projects among faculty members within the university and beyond.

In line with The University of Texas at Dallas’ aspiration to become one of the nation’s premier research universities, our objective is to facilitate interactions between professors and industrial partners with the goal of developing successful collaborations.

The Time Is Now: Interdisciplinary Synergy

The physical sciences have brought forth understanding of the mechanics of the universe. This knowledge has been successfully applied to engineering disciplines to solve 20th and 21st century problems.

In the same way that the 1930s and 1940s marked the convergence of physical and engineering disciplines, today we are at the convergence of biological and nanotechnological sciences.
