University Dining Increases Food Choices for Campus Community
New Program Offers Diners with Comet, Green Meal Plans to Exchange Dining Hall Meals with Retail Options

Staff at IHOP Express

The new IHOP Express in Parking Structure 3 includes indoor and outdoor seating. The restaurant will be open from 7:30 a.m. to 1 a.m. Monday through Thursday, 7:30 a.m. to 10 p.m. Fridays, and 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. Saturday and Sunday.

From new spots for pancakes and breakfast burritos to convenient checkouts and revamped menus, UT Dallas Dining options have expanded for the fall 2015 semester.

Fall dining hours have officially begun with a host of new food options on campus.

Following extensive renovations over the summer, the Student Union now offers several new retail dining locations, including Ben & Jerry’s ice cream shop in the Comet Café, and Panda Express, Moe's Southwest Grill, a larger Chick-fil-A, and 2Mato, which features pizza and pasta, in the Student Union Food Court.

Each retail venue in the Student Union now has its own checkout counter for increased efficiency. Additionally, the Student Union Food Court seating area — formerly used only for Student Union Dining Hall patrons — is now open seating for dining, studying and collaboration.

Other additions include an IHOP Express in Parking Structure 3 and a Breakfast Burrito Cart located on the walkway between the Administration Building and Green Hall.

Sweets include hot-and-fresh doughnut holes and Dr Pepper S’mores cake.

Also starting this fall, customers with the Comet and Green meal plans will be able to take advantage of a new Meal Exchange program that allows users to trade one dining hall meal swipe per day for a retail meal combo at participating locations.

Spirit Fridays will continue at Dining Hall West with $5 lunch for those who wear green, orange or UT Dallas clothing. Complimentary shuttle service to and from Dining Hall West will run from Lot R and the Activity Center between 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. each Friday throughout the semester.
