International Week at UT Dallas

Students from the Friendship Association of Chinese Scholars and Students manned a booth during an International Week event last year.

UT Dallas will celebrate the cultural diversity of the University’s 5,000-plus international students with International Week festivities, March 31-April 4.

The annual tradition will showcase international food, music and culture from around the world with a talent show, film night, dance party and more.

“iWeek is one of UT Dallas’ most diverse and colorful celebrations. It is the largest display of culture on campus, and a great way to experience the fun of our global community,” said Cristen Casey, director of the International Student Services Office, the event’s leading sponsor.

Other iWeek sponsors include various student organizations and campus departments.

The opening event, Passport to the World, will be from noon to 2 p.m. Monday, March 31, in the Visitor Center Atrium. Participants will represent their countries through creativity in clothing, cuisine, music and design.

A Talent Show will highlight international dance and song from 7 to 9 p.m. Friday, April 4, in the Activity Center Main Gym. To audition, complete an online form by 5 p.m. March 21.
