The Center for BrainHealth at UT Dallas has been selected as one of the top 100 places to work for 2010 by The Dallas Morning News.

The newspaper evaluated a number of workplace factors in producing its list.

The newspaper chose BrainHealth after evaluating its working environment, as well as the rate of happiness and contentedness reported by employees. The publication also factored in leadership, ethics, career development and training, and optimal work/life balance.

All 100 Dallas/Fort Worth honorees were saluted at a celebration luncheon at the Dallas Fairmont Hotel on Nov. 3.

Dr. Sandra Chapman, founder and chief director of the Center for BrainHealth, said she tries to demonstrate a positive, can-do attitude and believes other faculty and staff members follow her lead.

“It is wonderful that people here at BrainHealth realize the importance of the center’s purpose – promoting the life-improving mission of understanding, protecting and healing the brain,” she said. “I believe in empowering all team members to be a part of the vision of BrainHealth for all and challenging them to do things they never dreamed possible.”

A special Top 100 Places to Work 2010 supplement, featuring detailed information about all of the selected workplaces, was included in the Nov. 7 edition of The Dallas Morning News.
