The UT Dallas men's and women's basketball teams have two weeks remaining in the regular season and will play their final home games Saturday with the playoffs in their sights.

The Comet men (20-2, 18-1 ASC) are No. 20 in NCAA Division III's national ranking and are the front-runners to host the 2014 American Southwest Conference Tournament from Feb. 28 to March 2. To do so, UT Dallas will need to secure one win in the final three games, which includes road games against the two teams that played in last year's ASC title game.

The Comets are sparked by senior forward Kyle Schleigh, who is having another All-American season. Schleigh is averaging 16 points and 8.6 rebounds per game and sits as the program's all-time leader in scoring, rebounds, steals and blocked shots. Junior guard Matthew Medell is second on the squad, averaging 15 points per outing, while junior guard Nolan Harvey averages 13.9 points per game and is shooting nearly 48 percent from 3-point range.

On the women's side, the Comets (18-4, 15-4 ASC) sit in a tie for second place in the ASC with three games remaining. The team is looking to win a second-straight ASC title after winning the program's first title in 2013. The Comets are led by senior forward Morgan Kilgore, who is averaging 17.8 points and 6.9 rebounds per game while shooting nearly 58 percent from the field. Junior guard Christina Brosnahan is second on the team, averaging 11.6 points, while junior guard Jo’Anna Davis averages 11.3 points per outing.

The Comets will celebrate "Senior Day" Saturday afternoon against LeTourneau University. The women tip off at 1 p.m., and the men will play at 3 p.m. Between Saturday's games, eight seniors — five men and three women — will be recognized for their contributions to the program.
