The University of Texas at Dallas (UTD) will present the Cedar Walton Trio in concert on Friday, Nov. 15, at 8 p.m. in the University Theatre on campus.

Dallas-born jazz pianist and recording artist Cedar Walton combines a rock-solid technique with an urban lyrical quality. Joining him for the UTD concert will be one of the most sought-after bassists in jazz today, David Williams, and one of the most frequently recorded drummers of the last 25 years, Kenny Washington. In addition, the trio will be joined for part of the program by local guest artist Marchel Ivery on tenor saxophone.

Tickets are on sale Tuesdays to Fridays from 9:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. in the Art & Performance Office in the Visual Arts Building on the UTD campus and will be available at the door one hour prior to show time. The cost is $20 for reserved seating, but discount tickets are available for children and students. Tickets also are available for purchase by phone during office hours with MasterCard and Visa.
