“Igor to Please,” an evening of music by Igor Stravinsky, will be presented Saturday, Oct. 6, at 8 p.m. in the Jonsson Performance Hall on the campus of The University of Texas at Dallas. Admission will be free to UTD students, faculty and staff members with a valid UTD identification card and $10 to all others.
The featured work will be L’Histoire du Soldat, A Soldier’s Tale, performed by Fred Curchack, narrator, with Musica Nova, UTD’s resident Chamber Ensemble, conducted by Robert Xavier Rodriguez. Also, Jeff Lankov, pianist, will perform the world premiere of his new solo piano version of Le Sacre du Printemps, The Rite of Spring, and Chad Smith, clarinetist, will perform Three Pieces for Solo Clarinet.
