5 Important Dates to Know for November
Nov. 8-11 — Homecoming
Time to celebrate all things UTD! Come back to campus to partake in events like the nighttime 5K, the traditional Homecoming Parade (pssst … did you know we have a drum line now?), tailgating and the basketball game.
Nov. 10 — 12th Annual Svetozar Gligoric Transatlantic Cup Chess Match
The UTD chess team will take on the University of Belgrade in Serbia during the programs’ annual fall tournament. Drop by the Davidson Auditorium in the Naveen Jindal School of Management to support the team. Opening ceremonies begin at 11:30 a.m. followed by the match at noon.
Nov. 16 — Big Idea Competition
Check out the University’s largest startup pitch competition that’s open to undergraduate and graduate students from all fields of study.
This year’s guest judge will be Guy Kawasaki, brand ambassador for Mercedes-Benz and executive fellow at University of California, Berkley’s Haas School of Business.
Nov. 23-26 — Thanksgiving Break
We’re thankful for y’all, Comets! Enjoy the food, football and time with family.
Nov. 28-Dec. 9 — Student Arts Festivals
The week will showcase the work of more than 600 students from more than 40 courses, which will range from art exhibitions and musical and theater performances.
