Homecoming Week Events Unveiled

Attn: Current Comets and UTD alumni — the 2017 Homecoming events have been released. Stay tuned to UTD social media channels and the University’s website for further updates, and make sure to give the schedule a good look over.

TL;DR: Here are a few of the Homecoming Week highlights:

Wednesday, Nov. 8

Nighttime 5K

Run (or walk) around the beautiful campus after sunset. Check-in is at 6:30 p.m. followed by the race at 7:30 p.m. Registration is open until
Nov. 1.

Friday, Nov. 10

Homecoming Parade

Line up along Rutford Avenue at 12:30 p.m. to see the custom-designed floats go by.

Saturday, Nov. 11

11:30 a.m. – 1 p.m.: Lunch on the Lawn

Bring the family by the Davidson-Gundy Alumni Center for a nice picnic. (We’ll have some snacks on hand.)

1-5 p.m.: Homefest 2017

Can’t make it to the picnic (or not ready to go home)? Drop by the tailgate in Lot J for gameday food and beverages, music and giveaways before heading to …

5 p.m.: Homecoming Basketball Game

Come support the women’s basketball team against Huston-Tillotson. Whoosh!

7-9 p.m.: Homefest 2017 — The Concert

Enjoy a concert headlined by AJR.
