Alumni Center in Heart of Campus Opening Soon

“It’s not just about a building; it’s about a home.”

Those are the words of Charles “Chuck” Davidson MS’80, who along with Nancy Gundy Davidson BS’80, made a gift of $15 million to support the construction of an alumni center in the heart of campus.

Now, nearly two years after the words were spoken at an initial groundbreaking, the Davidson-Gundy Alumni Center rounds the homestretch of construction. It is slated to open in July.

The new structure, complete with meeting and conference rooms, a rentable event space, and programmable outdoor areas that include a patio, private garden and shaded grove, is located north of the Naveen Jindal School of Management between the Edith O’Donnell Arts and Technology Building and Parking Structure 1, making it an easy-to-reach gathering place for current and future alumni. September: Save the date!

We can’t wait for you to see this newest addition to campus. Join us in September for grand opening festivities when we will celebrate our extraordinary new 30,000-square-foot, two-story alumni center.

In the meantime, check out the live construction webcam and follow us on social media, where we often post pictures and updates. Also keep an eye out for a feature in the fall edition of UT Dallas Magazine.

We look forward to all this center will hold for the community of UT Dallas.
