The University of Texas at Dallas continues to monitor the rapidly evolving situation surrounding COVID-19.

This webpage has been created to keep the UT Dallas community informed of confirmed COVID-19 cases on campus.

The University will communicate with individuals in the affected campus location and with campus individuals who were determined to have been in close contact Opens in a new tab.. The University will update the list below as information is verified.

UT Dallas will release only basic details of the case but not the name of the person.

Confirmed Cases Reported to UT Dallas

Date reflects confirmation of positive case.

  • August 11 — A UT Dallas contractor tested positive for COVID-19. It was determined that the individual did not have any close contacts as defined by the CDC guidelines.
  • August 10 — A UT Dallas employee tested positive for COVID-19. It was determined that the individual did not have any close contacts as defined by the CDC guidelines.
  • August 7 — Two UT Dallas students and a University contractor have tested positive for COVID-19. It was determined that none of the individuals had any close contacts as defined by the CDC. The University will work with appropriate health officials to monitor the situation.
  • August 4 — The University was notified that an individual who was recently on campus has tested positive for COVID-19. The University will work with county and state health officials to monitor this situation. Public health authorities will contact individuals who have had close contact with the individual.
  • July 23 – The University was notified that a UT Dallas contractor who was recently on campus has tested positive for COVID-19. Those in close contact with the individual will be contacted. The University will work with county and state health officials to monitor this situation.
  • July 22 — The University was notified that a UT Dallas student has tested positive for COVID-19. The University will work with county and state health officials to monitor this situation.
  • July 22 — A UT Dallas student has tested positive for COVID-19. It was determined that the individual did not have any close contacts as defined by the CDC guidelines.
  • July 17 — The University was notified that a UT Dallas employee who was recently on campus has tested positive for COVID-19. Public health authorities will contact individuals who have had close contact with the employee.
  • July 16 — The University was notified that a UT Dallas employee who was recently on campus has tested positive for COVID-19. Those in close contact with the individual will be contacted. We will also work with county and state health officials to monitor this situation.
  • July 10 — The University was notified that a UT Dallas employee who was recently on campus has tested positive for COVID-19. Public health authorities will contact individuals who have had close contact with the employee.
  • July 3 — The University was notified that a UT Dallas contractor who was recently on campus has tested positive for COVID-19. It was determined that the individual did not have any close contacts as defined by the CDC guidelines. The University will work with county and state health officials to monitor this situation.
  • July 3 — The University was notified that a UT Dallas staff member who was recently on campus has tested positive for COVID-19. Public health authorities will contact individuals who have had close contact with the staff member.
  • June 27 — The University was notified that a UT Dallas staff member who was recently on campus has tested positive for COVID-19. Public health authorities will contact individuals who have had close contact with the staff member.
  • June 22 — The University was notified that a UT Dallas contractor who was recently on campus has tested positive for COVID-19. It was determined that the individual did not have any close contacts as defined by the CDC guidelines. The University will work with county and state health officials to monitor this situation.
  • June 19 — The University was notified that two additional UT Dallas students have tested positive for COVID-19. The students live in University Village and are roommates of the first student who was confirmed positive on June 11. The students are currently self-isolating, and the University will continue to work with county and state health officials to monitor this situation.
  • June 18 — The University was notified that a UT Dallas student who had been working at the Dallas campus of the Callier Center for Communication Disorders has tested positive for COVID-19. This individual had no contact with the Callier Child Development Program. The student lives off campus and is currently self-isolating, and the University will work with county and state health officials to monitor this situation. Public health authorities will contact individuals who have had close contact with the student.
  • June 16 — The University was notified that a UT Dallas student has tested positive for COVID-19. The student was tested on June 11 and lives in University Village. The student is currently self-isolating. The University will work with county and state health officials to monitor this situation. Public health authorities will contact individuals who have had close contact with the student.
